I don't want this site to only be like a portfolio, but I also want to share a little bit about me. Guess that makes this an online journal??? Yea.... something like that. Only a few months ago (thanks to Ancestry), I learned I had family that I never knew about. Not only do I have a new kick-ass sister, but also a 10yr old niece that consumes a lot of my thoughts during … [Read more...] about Niece Inspiration (Ice Cream Tower)

A New Love in my Life
Here I am, trying to learn character drawing, anatomy, basic animation, advanced digital art skills, an ipad animation program (Callipeg), 2 cpu ones (Tahoma2D and Krita), and a video editor (Hitfilm Express). Oh why the heck not, let's throw another animation program into the bag. Moho. Unlike traditional animation (where you draw multiple drawings for every second), … [Read more...] about A New Love in my Life
Happy 2012 (Brandi Carlile and Star Anna)
Getting to photograph Brandi Carlile for last year's new years eve, was the PERFECT way to start 2011. I wanted to dedicate my year to being a better photographer, and branch out to shoot for other publications. However there was a SMALL piece of me that wished I wasn't working, and was lost in the music instead. I didn't end up shooting more this year, in fact I shot less. … [Read more...] about Happy 2012 (Brandi Carlile and Star Anna)
“Pink and White” Music Video
About a year and a half ago, Brenda and I created a music video of her in the recording studio (making her album). No, I'm not much of a videographer, but I do enjoy playing with video once in a while. "Pink and White" has always been one of my favorite songs. We shot the video footage for it right before she moved away from Seattle. Instead of working on the video in her … [Read more...] about “Pink and White” Music Video
Summer Break
Things have been a bit quiet, not too many shows are coming around that I care to see (or photograph). And the only shows that I AM planning to see, are the zoo shows... doubtful that I'll be getting a photo pass for any of those. I'll be spending the remainder of summer, working on my web design and taking a break from photography. Frankly, I think I need it... as much as I … [Read more...] about Summer Break
A few cemetery pics
A cool cemetery in CT. I wish we could have gone inside, but there was a fence (yea, I know...I should have jumped it). I'm sharing these simply because I need to post more :) I don't think the photos are that great...but the scene is still cool. I was loving the arrangement of the graves, and all the white snow and blue shadows. If I could have a "do-over", I would get … [Read more...] about A few cemetery pics
Vacation
The plan for today was to work on editing concert photos (Landon Pigg, Mindy Smith), and to edit some photos of a friend in the recording studio this week. Instead i spent the day restore my recently wiped out computer. Replacing all my browsers, software, and music wasn't my idea of fun. Needless to say, I didn't anything done and I'm flying out to CT in a few hours... … [Read more...] about Vacation
New branding, new site, new logo…
Let's see... I started learning Web Design 3+ years ago at a Community College (a good program, not one where they teach you to code with deprecated methods!). I then picked up my current job as a "HTML Producer" 2 years ago with a local Web company. In all this time I've been freelancing a little here and there... but now I'm finally starting to get serious about it. I … [Read more...] about New branding, new site, new logo…

Finally made the plunge
I have been interested in Concert Photography since high school. Back in '98, I would hide a p&s cameras in my sock and sneak them into shows. I literally did this for hundreds of shows, and would happy post my results on whatever amateur website I was currently running. Of course all the photos were complete crap compared to todays p&s. I did pretty well for what I had … [Read more...] about Finally made the plunge
