Kaki King is a incredible guitarist, and I’ve been meaning to see her for years. Being that I don’t spend a lot of time on YouTube, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Her last albums have been filled with more vocal songs than usual (vs instrumental), so I was expecting her to come out and rock us with a band.
Umm, nope.
Instead it was just her and about 8 guitars on the stage… And only 2 of the songs had vocals. Wow… that was BETTER than with a band. I could be mesmerized by her guitar playing for hours.
Turns out I saw her just in time, she recently tore a tendon in her hand an had to cancel some shows. 🙁
